supporting you throughout your full reproductive journey

what is a full spectrum doula?

A non-medically trained care professional offering educational, physical, and emotional support for birthing people throughout the full reproductive journey.

This is including but not limited to preconception, prenatal, birth, postpartum, miscarriage, abortion, and womb support.

Synergy Support Space care offerings are infused with the anti-oppressive, inclusive, trauma-informed, affirming, and accessible care foundation set by Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings, where I received my full spectrum doula training and certification. As a full spectrum doula, I approach my care work with self & social awareness, curiosity, and cultural humility.

"Reproductive justice doesn't just look at one small piece of racism-it looks at the whole puzzle. It is such a core aspect of collective liberation that it is in fact collective liberation: it is through reproductive justice that we can achieve true equality, inclusion, and autonomy" —Sabia Wade

We cannot control pregnancy, birthing, postpartum, or reproductive outcomes, but we can equip ourselves with an abundance of support to be held through it all. All sessions are client-centered using curiosity to create the space to explore your needs and desires. Here are some options for how we can spend our time together.

    *Note on language:

To me, “womb” can encompass the physical uterus, and also a conceptual space of a source of creation within any body…“womb” as a source, of creation, of life. womb is uterus / source / sacral energy. Beyond the uterus, the womb transcends anatomy. I believe that people without uteruses can also have a womb to nurture, and that the “womb” is not inherently connected to identifying as a “woman”.

While the womb is not uterus specific in my use of it, this offering is informed by evidence based information specific to the physical/hormonal needs of those who have a uterus, regardless of gender identity.

I practice mirroring language, meaning I will mirror/reflect the language that you use to describe your own body/experience.  If the use of “womb” is not a word that resonates with you, we will have time to explore, affirm, and utilize your own naming choices. I am here to hold you as you navigate your relationship with your womb in whatever way resonates with you.

In addition to education, preparation, advocacy, resource & referral sharing, rest, nourishment, & relational support infused in the full spectrum doula offerings, I also utilize sound, breathwork, and meditation to support your comfort, mindfulness, and stress relief throughout your womb, pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum journey.

WHAT FAMILIES & CLIENTS ARE SAYING…

  • Taylor is an incredible force. She is a deeply connected and spiritual person—she has the ability to put all beings to ease. We used to joke that no one made our child sleep as deeply as Taylor, and that gift comes from the connection our child felt to her inner spirit that resonates calm, love and peace. We are so pleased to work with her and know she will be a tremendous help in the childbirth and childcare journey of many in our community. As a Black mom, physician, and community advocate, Taylor is the real deal. We feel blessed to have her in our circle.

    ~Dr. Stella Safo, MD MPH

  • Taylor has a gift for caring for others in a thoughtful, compassionate way. Not only is she someone I trust implicitly with the wellbeing of my daughter, but I enjoy the grounding energy she brings with her when she enters my home. The birthing process and postpartum period can be a vulnerable time. Taylor offers support without judgement or pressure. Whether it was comforting my fussy infant, helping me navigate lactation and feeding struggles, or guiding me through the unpredictability of early parenthood, Taylor brought a sense of peace and reassurance that I know will be invaluable to other expectant and new parents. She has the heart for this work.

This work is so intimate and there is literally no one who I think does it better than Taylor. Having her in our lives during early parenthood has been an absolute blessing.

  • Taylor has been watching our (now) 3 year old daughter for most of my daughter’s life. We are so grateful to work with her.Taylor has a warm, calming demeanor and a steadiness and confidence in everything she does. From the time my daughter was little, she has soothed her and made her feel safe and loved. Taylor is wonderful to communicate with, knowledgeable, consistently reliable, and mature beyond her years. Taylor exudes confidence, focus, and decisiveness in a way such that if I ever have another child, I would be honored to have Taylor provide doula services.
